Jewelry Trends

Similar to clothing trends, jewelry trends are fleeting. Nevertheless, accessorizing with your outfit is another way that elevates your look, and express who you are. With jewelry people can tell what your favourite angel numbers are, what your name in a different language looks like or your initials. They can tell which kind of jewelry you prefer to wear and a little bit about who you are.

Relating to Tan France’s fashion styles, these are the jewelry that pairs really well with

Sporty & Casual

A sporty person probably does not wear a lot of jewelry. Their choices are often gold dainty pieces or beaded accessories. My favorite is the anklets made of thread! they‘re so comfortable to wear and they won’t come out easily unless they’re cut off. I managed to keep mine on for about 2 years and I eventually removed it to replace it with a gold anklet that I eventually lost while I was on a run. I miss my thread anklet.

Bohemian & streetwear

They’re both the middle ground between grunge & punk to preppy & classic. It’s often like a merge of both, bohemian focuses on bigger pendants whereas streetwear outfits look great with any type of jewelry. Streetwear can be considered neutral to all jewelry trends because the style takes a little bit of each style.

Grunge & Punk

Mainly silver. Silver looks great with black and darker clothing. Their accessories are endless but they have a set few for every day. Usually, wear heavy necklaces and multiple chunky rings with atypical designs such as skulls and animal heads.

Preppy & Classic

Similar to the sporty & casual with a focus on less is more. A timeless piece is one that is not a fleeting trend. A style you know will stay as per its history of staying so relevant. This means simple rings and bracelets (with minimal design) and a simple necklace or two for soft layering and to avoid any clashing of pendants.

Current Jewelry Trends:

  • Beaded accessories

  • Chunky rings

  • Pearls

  • Medium-size hoop earrings
